As Chief Economist at Realtor.com, Danielle Hale leads the Realtor.com® Economics team, a group of the industry’s top analysts and economists who provide relevant, data-based insights to consumers, industry professionals, and other thought leaders. Hale is a frequent media source, cited in broadcast and written outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, the Washington Post, Fox News, ABC News, CBS News, CNBC, Fox Business, the New York Times, CNN, Yahoo!, and USA Today. Before joining Realtor.com® in July 2017, Hale spent nearly a decade as an economist and policy researcher at the National Association of REALTORS®. There, she oversaw the production of closely followed housing market data and led research projects on how federal, state, and local policies impact the real estate market. Prior to joining NAR as an economist in 2008, she spent three years at the American Enterprise Institute. Hale earned her degrees from Florida State University and calls the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. home.
