Steve Bartlett is the former President and CEO of the Financial Services Roundtable, a Washington-based policy organization of 100 of the largest financial services companies, represented by their CEOs, a position which he held from 1999 to 2012. He is a former U.S. congressman from Texas's third congressional district, a mayor of Dallas, and member of the Dallas City Council. While in Congress, Bartlett served as a member of the House Banking Committee, where he led the successful push to let the market set interest rates on government-insured mortgages. He served as Deputy Whip and was a sponsor or principal co-sponsor of nearly 20 major pieces of legislation, including the Enhanced Secondary Mortgage Market Act, Fair Labor Standards Act Reforms, FHA Deregulation, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Bartlett is currently a member of Treliant’s Senior Advisory Board, where he offers strategic advice to Treliant’s clients and its senior executives on a range of matters: political, legislative, regulatory, and industry trends and serves as Chairman of Respectability, a large, national non-profit promoting employment and inclusion for persons with disabilities. He resides in Texas with his wife Gail.

His prior positions at VA include Chief of Staff for the Deputy Under Secretary for Economic Opportunity and Assistant Director for Loan Policy and Valuation, where he improved the number of days to issue eligibility from 26 to two business days, and volume increases of 650%, while VA market share also increased from 1% to 12% of the mortgage market. He will also be serving as the 2022 Board Chairman of the MISMO Government Forum.

The Office of Housing and Regulatory Policy (OHRP) is responsible for determining Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) policies involving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s single family businesses and is the agency’s focal point for the analysis and development of single family mission-related policy. Under Maria Fernandez’s leadership, OHRP has helped initiate several industry changing endeavors, including the Uniform Mortgage Data Program, HARP and its successor high-LTV refi program, Servicing Alignment Initiative, and several others. Her team has focused on aligning the GSE’s single family COVID policies in response to the pandemic.

In addition to his Executive Director role, Edward Golding serves as Senior Lecturer at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He has served as head of the FHA and as Senior Advisor at HUD, where he helped formulate policy on housing finance reform and the expansion of funding for the Housing Trust Fund. As an executive at Freddie Mac from 1989-2012, he headed model development, strategy, and investor relations and developed a national reputation for visionary leadership in housing finance policy.

During his 20 years at Freddie Mac, he held various positions in sales, mortgage-backed-security trading, credit policy, and program development. Leslie Meaux Pordzik manages the Single-Family, Multi-Family, and Monitoring and Asset Management divisions at Ginnie Mae responsible for Issuer and Portfolio Management. She has oversight responsibility for the program’s 400-plus issuers doing business with the firm. Meaux Pordzik joined Ginnie Mae as the Director of Monitoring and Asset Management in December of 2011. In that role, she was responsible for monitoring and compliance oversight of Ginnie Mae’s active Issuers as well as responsible for managing the defaulted portfolios being subserviced for the agency.

Meyer joined Safeguard in 1998 as Manager over the Hazard Claims team. He was instrumental in the development and creation of policies, procedures, and operating protocol. Under his leadership, the department became one of the largest within Safeguard. Prior to joining Safeguard, Meyer spent 10 years within the insurance industry, holding a number of positions including multi-line property adjuster, branch claims supervisor, and multi-line and subrogation/litigation supervisor. He is a graduate of Grove City College.

During the pandemic, his servicing team has focused on how to dynamically address servicing management policies in response to unparalleled impacts of COVID-19.
