His prior positions at VA include Chief of Staff for the Deputy Under Secretary for Economic Opportunity and Assistant Director for Loan Policy and Valuation, where he improved the number of days to issue eligibility from 26 to two business days, and volume increases of 650%, while VA market share also increased from 1% to 12% of the mortgage market. During her time at FDIC, Thompson led the Agency’s examination and enforcement program for risk management and consumer protection at the height of the financial crisis.
